Our UK-bound trip stopped near the Italian city of Milan to collect a party of six goldfinches and two bullfinches. These beautiful, colourful birds are providing a wonderful music backdrop to the journey.
Above the lakes of Geneva in Switzerland we met Marley, who belongs to John’s daughter. She’s living in West Sussex and Marley is now off to join her. John, a Texan ranch owner, has been caring for Marley at their Swiss home near Neuchâtel.
While in Geneva we also collected Kooikerhondje Edie. She travelled with us to Switzerland from the UK a month ago to be with her owner Ben, who’s been directing a production of Much Ado About Nothing. Wherever Ben goes, Edie goes, and after a successful run at the theatre and some holiday time in the mountains, both are heading home to London.
What a beautiful post! Congratulations for keeping peace and harmony with all these animals! Thank you so much for the photos on the way to Calais. The whole post really brightens my day!
Thank you. Our passengers were all very well behaved and rather beautiful!
Aww, more pics of little Piccola!! 😀 So cute! 🙂 xx Roxy & Tigerlino <3
Hard not to take a photo of her!
….and now birds also! It is amazing to me. Do they travel happily? More beautiful scenery for you to drive through with this new load of gorgeous pets! What a job!! 🙂
They travel surprisingly well and sang to courier S the whole way!
I suspect I know what Milo and Bichette are thinking. Here Birdie, Birdie, Birdie. The goldfinches (our western US branch of the family) will soon be visiting our bird feeder. Lovely little fluffs of gold filling the tree. –Curt
You are spot on Curt 😉 Hope lovely and the sound must be special too.
We simply can’t wait to finally meet our girlie, Lotte, aka (Nana). Your new family is waiting for you.. safe onward journey to you and all your travel buddies. xxx
Oh, Lotte is very nearly with you now!
The mountain view was sensational.
It really struck courier S too.
Our little piccola looks like is enjoying a lot this trip!! We are very happy she is in good hands and cant wait to see her soon!
Pam & Dario
She has been a huge hit with everyone!
Quite a diverse traveling group.
We’re seeing a lot of exotic and different passengers recently.
Beautiful pictures today! The “worm pie” makes me giggle 🙂
Worm pit is for giggling at, not eating 😀
A really nice post here. I so enjoyed the variety of birds and animals on this post and the last pic really looks like a Christmas scene. All the animal/bird pics are very good.
It certainly made courier S feel like Christmas.
Beautiful gang love the eye photos
Cats do have the most stunning eyes.
I have never heard of a Kooikerhondje. You guys have fascinating lives!
Our challenge was spelling it!
Stunning views and passengers.
Not half bad 😀
If only all cats & dogs could have owners like the ones you meet
Indeed, our owners are obviously from the special spectrum. Here’s to everone caring as much.
