Animalcouriers delivered Jackie’s family of dogs Coco and Derecha and cats Blackie, Maisie and Madge to a kennels and cattery in Coin on the Costa del Sol. They’ll have a short stay here until their owners arrive at the end of the week and get all the furniture in place ready to welcome their pets to their new Spanish home.
In Seville we dropped German Shepherd Dog Nanook off at her kennels, where she’ll stay for a week or so until her owners join her. We know they’re missing her very much, but they can rest assured she’s in delightful surroundings with her own garden and lovely carers.
We stopped in Cadiz to drop off Brockman and Muller. These two English Bulldogs were very excited to reach their new home, where they were met by friends of their owner.
Then it was on to Portugal to deliver Alfie, Millie and Lola to Barking Mad Kennels and Cattery, where they’ll stay until their owners’ arrival. The scenery is very different from the rolling hills of Lancashire, with vividly coloured plants and fresh oranges and figs on the trees, and a lovely balmy climate.
Madge has beautiful markings.
She certainly does – we love her name too.
Love Masies eyes. Such a beautiful sky near Granada. Good Lord snow. Love those two bulldogs and the nicknames you gave them, Slug and Slobber.
Love Lolas sweet face.
Have a wonderful week end.
The snow is almost unheard of in September in Spain so rather took us by surprise. We’d love to take the benefit of those nicknames but their owners were there first! Thanks, hope all goes well with you.
What happy animals and beautiful photos!
Hugs, Pam
The animals are happy indeed.
nooooo….snow…. I never thought that it will happen in september in spain… that’s crazy :o)
Very crazy! Couldn’t believe our eyes.
Yipes – snow! and another successful landing.
We hope it isn’t a harbinger of things to come so early in the season.
Nanook should have been happy with the snow, given his namesake, Nanook of the North, a 1920s film. Flaherty spent a couple of years filming in northern Canada to make the film, came home, dropped a cigarette on the film, destroyed 30,000 feet of it, and had to head north and do it all over. –Curt
Yes, Nanook will no doubt be happy for a small fraction of the time in Spain 😉 What a thoroughly sickening thing to happen!
Indeed it was. But it certainly showed perseverance that he went back and did it again. Bet he didn’t smoke around his film anymore, however. 🙂
Ooh, those punk flowers are Lantana. I had some at my Florida Home. Smells great.
Punk? Pink!
He he, never thought of Lantana as punks! They are gorgeous.
Madge and Maisie are very pretty aren’t they? The remind me of a pair of Lefton china book ends I saw once, LOL
I recognize that look on Blackie’s face, that’s what I wake up to every morning. Petals always climbs on me to look and see if I’m awake. Of course she wakes me up when doing so…LOL. If I’m sleeping on my side, she’ll walk all the way up to my shoulder and just stand there, like she’s on a hike or something and enjoying the view, HA! Portugal looks really pretty, loving the colours.
That’s cat logic for you! It works every time 😉
Love those names- Slug and Slobber. So appropriate for the dogs. 🙂 Can’t believe the weather. How weird= snow already. And the donkey made my day. It looked to be well cared for. The blooming flower is a lantana and I have that in my butterfly patch. Butterflies find it very attractive and it comes in various colors. Easy to grow too.
Really not what you would expect in Spain at the moment! Good to know Lantana attracts butterflies and is easy to grow 😉
Are you ever tempted to stay a little longer in some of the beautiful places you visit?
Stop that right now!
Snow in Granada?? Wow bet that was a bit offputting as you travelled!!
Lovely to see Brockman & Muller again!
All the best to all who went to Costa Del Sol; now that sounds like Heaven on Earth 😉
Love Sherri-Ellen & Nylablue xxx
