Animalcouriers recently arranged for gorgeous Millie from Manchester to fly to Calgary in Canada. Her owner Jane left Millie in the care of her mum while she went on ahead to organise the family’s new home. It took longer to find pet-friendly accommodation than Jane had expected, but finally she found the perfect pad, and Millie was soon on her way. Jane sent a photo of Millie at her new home, saying:
“I’m pleased to tell you that Millie arrived safe and well in Calgary. It was a lovely family reunion at the airport! Thank you so much for everything you have done to get her to Canada smoothly. It feels like home now she’s here!”
We also heard from the owners of Cooper, the gentle giant of a Rottie who started his journey with us in Italy when we collected him from the Nato Air Base at Aviano. Cooper then flew from London Heathrow to Ohio. His dad Scotty sent us an update and some photos:
“Cooper made it home safe and sound and very happy. He is hanging out with our family in Ohio until we pick him up in a few weeks. Thank you so much for everything you did for us. We couldn’t be more happy with how he was cared for on his journey. From the pictures you posted it looked like he was having a blast and made some new friends.”
Meanwhile cheeky tabby cat Pickles, who travelled with us from Gibraltar in January, flew from the UK to Sydney, Australia, ready to start her new life in Perth with her owner Martin. Animalcouriers recently opened an account with newly established vet practice Vet on the Hill in Caterham in Surrey. It fell to vet Ian to give Pickles her pre-flight check and worming treatment, and wade through the pile of paperwork required by AQIS, the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service.
I’m glad Cooper&Millie had a good flight… I hope for a giant bucket of ice cream for Cooper :o) It would be great if Pickles would meet Pickles in Oz once :o)
Do you think Australia is ready for that meeting? 😀
maybe they will call it down over from that moment on :o)
That would be Down Over & Out 😉
Oh I knew that was Pickles…so much alike hahaahah 🙂 even the slenderness..and Cooper is beautiful he looks like our much missed boy Eich 🙂 love a rottie drool…hey maybe one day the two Pickles’s will meet..and then mayhem!! 🙂 hugs and loves Fozziemum xx
As you say, mayhem may well ensue if they do 😀
Hahhahhhhaha 🙂
Long ride for Millie . Plenty of time to catch up on sleep.
You’re right – that’s just what they do.
There are some smiling faces!
Happy peeps and pups!
omg, da nooooose!
Yup, you just want to kiss it!
Ahh so much happy!!! Millie is gorgeous. Thanks to you, so many of these cuties are so much more well traveled than I will ever be!
hugs, Carrie and Pups x
More travelled than most of us too 😉
Gee, dogs and a cat literally flying left and right. So glad they all made it to their destinations. Cooper, Pickles, and Millie all appear to be joyful pets.
And deeply loved – no leaving this trio behind.
Aha, so another one of your adorable dogs crossed the Pond and arrived safely in the USA in Ohio. Loved the pictures and always love the stories!!
Thanks so much for the post! 🙂
Always our pleasure!
Ohio isn’t too far from us! If you couriers ever come to upstate NY, please let me know! What a great group. Thank you so much for your kind thoughts on Lacci.
Sadly we never get to accompany any of these intrepid flyers 🙁 Hope the news on Lacci is good.
Millie’s going to melt the sternest heart
Those eyes!
Oh wow, Millie and I are practically neighbours now, LOL. Calgary is only 3 hours south of Edmonton. Super cute photo too.
Hey! I remember Pickles. I remember her because I love that name. Australia it is then, how fabulous. The paper in her kennel says ‘Beauty and the Beast’, LOL I’m certain she would play the Beauty part most fabulously. Such a good girl to just laze about while Dr Ian organizes. Happy Travels Pickles!
Hurrah for Millie flying from the UK to Canada! Amazing job done once again Annie!
