Couriers J and M set off from the UK, heading towards Spain, and spent last night in the Dijon area of France. On board so far are Bonnie, Nellie, Lola and India.
Tabby-and-white cats Bonnie and Nellie are quite hard to tell apart. These two lovelies have been homeboarding with Animalcouriers for a week since arriving from Wales. They’re now en route to their new home in Moraira in Spain, where their owners Val and David are eagerly awaiting their arrival — Val says once the cats are there it will really feel like home.
At just 8 inches tall, miniature Yorkie Lola must have felt like she was stalking through the jungle on her morning walk. This plucky little girl loved it all — leaping about, walking on her hind legs, and playing with her new chum India.
India is travelling with us from London to the wonderful Spanish city of Seville. She homeboarded with Animalcouriers for a couple of nights before we set off. This was perfect because she’s quite a shy dog, and it gave us a chance to get to know each other.
If you have to travel, then this is certainly the way to do it!
The only complaints from couriers J&M were about the traffic snags around tour route 🙁
What a cool journey. When I was racing bikes, I wanted to ride the citizens tour that follows the real race. But never got to do it. Aren’t the caves where they cure cheeses, wine and meats interesting? When we were in Paris last year, we rented an apartment during our stay, we never ate in restaurants — we bought really good cheeses, artisan meats, fresh veggies and breads, and prepared our meals ourselves (we had taken cooking classes in Provence for two weeks before returning to Paris).
We have friends who’ve done it – an impressive feat. How very sensible to take advantage of the wonderful markets in Paris – you should never go near one when you’re very hungry though 😉
Hope all your travellers got a taste.
All who were interested were treated!
i do rescue in the US. Way to go, couriers.
Good to hear – never enough rescues!
oh they even have some extra bikes, just in case a tour-biker needs one. clever idea!
Perhaps Contador tried one? 🙁
hope is foot? or leg? is better soon :o) probably Leo’s buddy Kevin had such a bike too :o) but even with such a bike Kevin won :o)
Ha ha ha, Kevin wins all the time 😀
Great pics!
Thanks!
This is a great post. I very much enjoyed seeing the cheese, cows, and sunflowers. Scenery is lovely and the post quite interesting. So many Brits moving back and forth from Spain. The little Yorkie looks drenched but I know it was okay.
Glad you enjoyed it as much as we did!
Cheeeeese! I’d have loved to sample it too. Even better, all your lovely passengers seems to have said Cheese when the snaps were taken!
It was a very cheesy experience all round!
Cheese, cycling and sunflowers….what an all round treat.
Yup, couriers J&M loved it until they got caught up in the traffic jams around the tour route.
You do go on some wonderful travels! Thank you for the view into the countryside there.
It was a day to take pleasure in.
Cheese, tour de france route, amazing passengers – it’s a hard job you guys have!!
P.s no one does it as well as Yorkshire! BOL
He he, thought you’d say that!
I would have loved to help with the cheese tasting! Bon voyage!
Yes, everyone was very happy with the tasting!
Hm…cheese tasting and the Tour de France…we’re thinking not a bad situation for the couriers!!! Loved this post – especially seeing the cows looking for greener grass – that must be a universal cow thing – I saw them doing it in Texas all the time, too!! 🙂
Not too many complaints on the cheese tasting (couriers and passengers alike) 😀
That’s my kind of day, the only thing missing would have been a glass of red wine
Think couriers J&M might just have managed that at the end of the day 😉
