Olive, Theo, Freddy, Sophie, Matilda, Iti and Loutou have joined our trip

Yesterday Animalcouriers collected Olive the Pug puppy just up the road from the Italian seaside resort of Rapallo. She’s a very confident young pup, who could even be a contender for prime minister in the future! In the meantime, she’s practising her skills on us.

Later we crossed from Italy into France and spent the night at a quiet Ibis hotel near Bagnoles in the Languedoc-Roussillon. Lisa had her normal half-hour gentle stroll, taking everything in and nosing around in the undergrowth and the edges of the path.

Today we collected Louisa’s four rescue cats in the pretty Languedoc village of Combas. Louisa is moving temporarily to England for work — and of course Theo, Matilda, Freddie Mercury and Sophie are going too.

Then east of Lyon we called in on Laure to collect a pair of beautiful Old English Bulldog pups, Loutou and Iti. It’s so nice that this brother and sister can keep each other company on their trip to the UK.

I applaud the lady that rescued her cats from labs and the street. And those kitties are beautiful. The pug looks as if he is full of mischief. The other dogs are quite handsome.I really like seeing the countryside pics. All photos are lovely.

She has done a great thing for those four cats. Glad you like the scenic pics – we can’t resist taking them when the sights are so stunning.

Good grief! This must be an extra busy time of the year for you – you have so many adorable passengers…the stories of the abandoned cats are heartbreaking but we love the happy endings for them! Thanks for the wonderful post!!!

It was a busy bus full! Hard to believe spring is so late with you – you’ll have to close your eyes and think of irises 😉

  17. Nylabluesmum April 15, 2014 at 10:49 pm - Reply

Hi Annie I am thinking Irises & crocuses & daaffodils & it has snowed ALL DAY here (Wednesday). Still snowing as I type at 5;45 pm. The birds are confused & Nylablue did not know what to make of the cold when we went to the Vet’s….
Spring really does not want to stick around here does it??? 😉
    Sherri-Ellen & Nylablue too xoxo

Saw you blog post and it dismayed us too! It had better be a special Spring when it does arrive.

man oh man that ‘previous owner’ of Sophie’s would NOT want to meet me, especially near any windows! Love that pic of Romy and Lina pausing in their playing to look gorgeous side by side.

    • Animalcouriers April 16, 2014 at 2:31 pm - Reply

Indeed! Sophie is without doubt considerably happier with her home now. They had such a playful time together.

Big hugs to Louisa for giving her cats a chance to know a loving home. I’ve never heard of lab cats. I don’t even want to think about it really. Sinister.
Thanks for sharing such cute pictures of all your guests and the glorious Iris’s. I’m looking out this morning at more white snow covering everything. It’s ridiculous on April 18th, even for us. Thank goodness I popped in.

    • Animalcouriers April 18, 2014 at 6:41 pm - Reply

Really pleased to be able to give you the sense of Spring, vicariously. Have heard all about the snow and it is just not fair :(. No doubt it will flip to summer, bypassing spring entirely.

Hi Annie: It is now Saturday & the Sun finally came out at 1:45 pm so Nylablue is out in her Condo. I wrapped it with 2 blankets so no wind gets in but the Sun is streaming into her Condo….she iz quite happy at the moment! 😉
