We love to hear how pets settle in after their journey with Animalcouriers. We’ve heard from Suzie that Dimos, one of the dogs who travelled from Greece, is doing very well. She tells us:
“Dimos slept like a baby all last night and has enjoyed a couple of lovely walks in the sunshine today. He is looking to Alfie for guidance as you will hopefully be able to see in the video clip. He is very affectionate and likes to be with us wherever we are. As I write this he is curled up on my foot! It is of course early days, but he seems to be taking everything in his stride and is coping remarkably well. His biggest issue at the moment seems to be with our wooden floors, he just doesn’t trust them!”
We also got an update from Jan about Milly, another dog from Greece. It sounds as though Milly is having a lovely time with Jan’s mum:
“Milly is settling really well and is such a sweetie, her appetite is improving as mum is spoiling her with fresh cooked chicken and other lovely things. She is so funny, mum keeps finding her burying her mini gravy bones in the garden — obviously saving them for a midnight snack!”
Meanwhile we received some photos of Newfoundland puppy Capability, who looks to be enjoying life at his new home in Bermuda. As well as telling us that Capability loves the water and is doing plenty of swimming in Green Bay, Safriti says:
“Thank you very much for arranging Capability’s travel and importation to Bermuda. He arrived in good health. I picked Animalcouriers because they already had experience with getting a dog to Bermuda via London Gatwick and, as a bonus, their price was reasonable. It was professional service with a good dose of kindness and understanding about the stress of a move. I would recommend them and use them again. The dog was happy to go with the courier who got him and after the flight the next day, he looked well-cared for. I think he even got a home grooming because he smelled lovely.”
That’s a hairstyle, I like it!
Looks like a wig!
What lucky dogs
Yes, life is looking good for them all.
Great to see AC get the kudos it so rightly deserves. And my old Basset Hound, Socrates, long since gone to where all good doggies go, would definitely agree with Dimos on wood floors. As a pup, he never had any problem getting started with his running in the house. It was the stopping that was the challenge. There were several crash landings. 🙂 –Curt
Watching Basset Hounds run in slow motion is the best way! Know what you mean about the stopping though 😀

Yes, knowing they’ve found great forever homes is super but hearing they’ve settled so quickly is even better.
I agree with Curt so nice to see you get some good recognition and such well deserved compliments. Most of all I’m happy to see the dogs happily settled, too.
They’ve all travelled such a long way and to see them settle so quickly is wonderful.
I bet Capability couldn’t wait to take a dip!
Suspect Capability is going to grow webbed feet!
How stunning are those final few photos!!
Mouthwatering! Shame we couldn’t accompany Capability 😀
That’s a gorgeous and giant fenced yard for Dimos and his pal Alfie. I’m so happy for him to find such a perfect home. I enjoyed the birds in their video too.
