Melissa, Stella, Dimos, Carmel and Zorba fly from Athens to Paris

Melissa, Stella, Dimos, Carmel and Zorba fly from Athens to Paris

This morning Animalcouriers were up bright and early to collect five dogs at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport who’ve undertaken their own odyssey to reach their new homes in the UK.

Kiki, Martha and the rest of the Filozoikos team were up just as early, getting the dogs ready for their flight. As usual, every dog was sporting his or her own personal ‘good luck’ collar and bow, lovingly made by Martha.

All the travel boxes were on the large side, so we worked a shuttle between the arrivals hall upstairs and the carpark downstairs.

Were were pleased to see Melissa again, having met her in Athens just a few weeks ago. She seemed to 'know' the Animalcouriers van and hopped right in

Stella is the biggest and most glamorous dog on the trip. She was all ready for a Paris shopping spree — new handbag, shoes, gloves, the lot!

Carmel arrived in style, very lively (hence the blurry photo!). Nell says they could hear her barking while they were waiting to get off the plane — woof, woof, where's my red carpet? We had one ready outside the terminal, natch!

Everyone had been a bit worried about Dimos travelling, but his behaviour was exemplary — one cool dude, as though flying was something he did every day

Like maestro’s of a well tuned orchestra, you make families lives complete. I’m don’t always say it, but I’m always impressed by the job you do. Such brave pups one and all. They probably take better to flying than me, LOL.

It takes a lot of organisation by many groups of people to get these gorgeous dogs to their new homes in the UK. They are very brave and trusting – took to flying like pros!

It isn’t something that dogs would choose to do but the rewards in this case are enormous 😀

You’d make such a great couple out shopping but your Mom would probably put the two of you to shame 😀

Lovely dogs and so well traveled!

  14. I just love you guys! You create a lot of happiness with those safe journeys and joyful reuniting. Melissa caught my attention as she looks just like our Tazzie, who lived to be a ripe old 15+, which is really ancient for a rottie. Would you give her, Melissa, a rubbie from me next time you see her sweet self? And, here’s a special cyber hug to ya’ll. <3

    • Animalcouriers March 31, 2014 at 3:05 pm - Reply

Hey, 15+ is a super age for a rottie! Thanks so much for the hugs – we’ll certainly pass them on to Melissa, who is a very lovely girl indeed.

And why wouldn’t Milissa love the Ac Van, given all of the free belly rubs? 🙂

I love the train of pups!! I must say I have felt more cramped in a plane seat sometimes than wht the crates appear to be…and I got no treats..i might have found a new way to travel 😉 hugs Fozziemum xx

How sweet they all are. That darling Melissa looks just like my Nikki, only Melissa has longer legs and a shorter coat. My girl is a sucker for belly rubs too, but aren’t they all. 😉 Cheers, Gina
