Today we set off for Faro, and from there it will be on to Gibraltar. But before leaving Lisbon, we went to collect Gaby from Demetrio and Ligia. Her owner Ronivon is already in England, and her two friends have been looking after Gaby for her. “Gaby is not wishing to travel today,” said Demetrio, who reported that Gaby was proving difficult to catch and perhaps we could help!
Our next port of call was in Setubal, to collect Rosinha and Panda who are travelling to Berwick-on-Tweed to rejoin their owner, Angela, who has relocated there from Portugal. Angela’s mum, Isabel, has been taking care of these two cats since Angela headed off.
Then it was on to Guia in the Algarve, to the Animal Inn, which will be Looklikely and Cornflake’s temporary home while they wait for their owners to join them. It wasn’t long before both cats were out of their baskets and exploring their new surroundings. We love an excuse to visit the Animal Inn, where we always get a great welcome from Diana and Bungie and, of course, the dogs. As well as offering boarding for dogs, they have a little cattery that’s well away from the dogs’ area. They also take in cats for a local rescue organisation and are currently trying to rehome a cat that was abandoned by its owner when she went back to England.
Panda is a wonderful cat. Her eyes look like magic :o) Wow can you give me a sign when they have a vacant job at the Animal Inn? Looks interesting :o)
Panda is a stunner. There seems to be a waiting line for that job if it ever materialises 😉
Wonderful! All of the furry little loves. Cornflake, you gorgeous tabby, love your name.
Cornflake is going in our book of great names for animals.
Another adorable bunch. I agree that Cornflake has a great name.
We’ve had some superb names recently.
Its like spa for dogs & cats!
Yes, and some humans wouldn’t mind booking in either!
Is Rosinha a snow Bengal? Sure looks like one! I love the names you have on this trip – especially Cornflake and Looklikely! Clever owners 🙂
She certainly does but Angela, her owner, says she found Rosinha on the streets so doesn’t know her ‘make’. The names are fab.
A Bengal test is the colour of the foot-pads. If they are grey, she is likely a Bengal! Anything else, then not a purebred Bengal, anyway.
Nice work for Tinto and Benjie.
Yes, they do seem to do their job rather well.
Nylablue is in love with Panda as she keeps chinning the laptop; she has good taste, lol!!!
I love Cornflake; what a great name for an orange cat!!
Coddy iz a dorable too!
You sure had a busy trip this time…whew how do you keep oit all straight?? I am alwayz amazed by the efficiency of all of you!
Sherri-Ellen & Nylablue (who sayz Pnada can move in anytime!)
Nylablue certainly has the best possible taste! It’s busy but luckily all these lovely cats don’t ask for walks 😉
ohh my babies! I really miss them ❤️ have a nice trip, mum is waiting for you!
and thank you for the comments about my cats – Panda and Rosinha. Panda is a Balinese male and I’m not sure about Rosinha’s breed, I’ve found her on the streets 🙂
Hi Angela, thanks for telling us more about your two beautiful cats. Rosinha does look rather posh for a street cat! They’re doing very well on their journey.
Oh I am with Easy…let us know when a job opening comes up bwahaahaha 🙂 safe travels to all hugs Fozziemum xx
Couriers J&M love calling in at the Animal Inn – they get that great treatment too 😀
I am sure they do!!! 🙂 🙂
It’s easy to love Labs, we used to have one named Haley (named after the comet) . they’re so friendly to everyone and I love their soft ears. I’m loving that tunnel bed. I wonder if Blossum would stay in there and stay off my pillow. Bye bye Cornflake….you’re home!
Labs certainly are easy to love. Nope, one a pillow sleeper, always a pillow sleeper 😀
Moggies and doggies have a safe trip xxx
Thanks guys – all going well so far.
Oh my gooodness if cats needed to be walked you’d be going 24/7!!! 😉
Sherri-Ellen & Nylablue xx
He he, wouldn’t we!
😉 You sure would be on the go nite & day!!! Thank goodness for cats & sleep!!! LOL….
The dogs are handsome and the kitties are beautiful. The pics are very nice.
A very photogenic group.
Gosh! You guys are busy! Panda looks like she could be my sister! She wears a collar too… Maybe I could get used to it then!
