Boxer Cardosso and Pugs Bruno, Triana and Pretinha are all on board

Handsome Boxer Cardosso has joined Lola, Suzie and Millie on our trip to Spain. He's leaving wet and windy Wales behind to rejoin Irene in Girona, who tells us they're both looking forward to a Spanish summer! Also heading south with us are Alicia's three Pugs. This cuddly trio, Bruno, Triana and Pretinha, travelled with us last year when Alicia relocated to England, and are now on their way back to Madrid where they'll be reunited with Alicia. Most airlines won't accept snub-nosed dogs like Pugs because they can have difficulties breathing, so we're delighted to be able to transport [...]

Leo and Lexi are heading back to Gibraltar

You may remember Leo and Lexi, a pair of bouncy young Labradors we transported for Tom from Gibraltar to Ireland last summer. Tom's hobby is shooting, and Leo and Lexi are to be his retrievers. So they've been staying at a special training kennels in Ireland to learn how to do it. When we asked Tom if they've been good pupils, he replied that he'd really enjoyed being out with them. He felt, however, that Lexi was a little less enthusiastic than her brother. That's because the last time he was out with them, he felt a weight on his left [...]

Honi makes a bee-line for Ecuador

Animalcouriers received a phone call from Carla in Ecuador a few days ago. She'd had to fly out of the UK without her beloved dog Honi, because of problems with Honi's travel box. Many phone calls and emails followed while Carla tried to sort out how to get Honi into Ecuador as a cargo booking. KLM offered the best route via Amsterdam, but Carla was overwhelmed by the maze of Ecuadorean bureaucracy. In the end, she realised she would have to return to the UK and accompany Honi on her flight to Ecuador. Animalcouriers supported Carla by arranging the legalisation [...]

Millie and Suzie are gladly leaving the UK weather behind

Animalcouriers collected Shih Tzus Millie and Suzie from Essex last week. Suzie was a rescue dog who was taken to an RSPCA rehoming centre just in time to meet Heather when she was looking for a companion for Millie. This lovable pair been homeboarding with us, and have become firm friends with housedogs Billy and Pugsley, and our other houseguest Lola. They tell us they're really looking forward to rejoining Heather in Almeria, in Spain, as the UK weather has been dire. "We could have done with two pairs of wellies each this past week," they say. Suzie [...]

Lovely Lola is swapping Scotland for Spain

Lola is becoming a very seasoned traveller. She started life on the streets of Mexico, where Sheila found her and adopted her. Little did Sheila know at the time just what a big part of her own and her daughter's life this little dog would become. Nor did she realise how much it would all cost — but Sheila would say it has been worth every penny! Most recently Lola and Sheila have been living in Glasgow. Animalcouriers collected Lola last week, since when she has been homeboarding with us ahead of travelling with us to rejoin Sheila in Marbella, [...]

Jock and Bonnie swap the UK for South Africa

Animalcouriers arranged for lively Scottish Terriers Jock and Bonnie to fly from London Heathrow to Durban via Johannesburg, with SAA. At Heathrow Airport the dogs were checked in through the SAA warehouse, then moved to a heated animal room, away from all the noise, while they waited to get on board. We were delighted to hear from their owners that Jock and Bonnie arrived safely in South Africa without any problems. Jock — never mind the longest tongue competition, how about one for the biggest ears? Bonnie Jock and Bonnie waiting to board their flight [...]

Socks heads to London, and four cats swap Berkshire for Cornwall

On their way back south from Scotland and their adventures with Nessie, couriers J and M collected delightful eight-week-old Whippet pup Socks in Berwick-upon-Tweed, and delivered him to his very excited owner Daisy in London. Meanwhile courier S transported gorgeous feline quartet Sir Slinky, Rusty, Delilah and Bella from Berkshire to the new family home in Cornwall. She reports there was quite a lot of kitty snoring en route — doubtless all four were dreaming of clotted cream teas! Socks gets a goodbye hug in Berwick-upon-Tweed Sir Slinky dives straight into his supper bowl! Bella has a [...]
