Animalcouriers is heading to the UK with a fantastic group of cats and dogs from France and Spain. We spent last night in Narbonne, and this morning took a peek at one of the local caves cooperatives to see how the grape harvest (the vendanges) is going this year.
We reached Paris this evening, and expect to cross to the UK tomorrow.
Birra is from Canet de Mar, and is a little nervous about the journey. Her owner Maria tells us she adopted Birra from a Spanish shelter about four years ago, and is aware that Birra doesn’t like loud noises or men with loud voices. But despite her fears, she’s a very good and obedient dog, who just needs patience and a calm voice to guide her.
Wow! What fantastic passengers you have. Everyone is so special just looking at them. Happy travelling to you all and best of all have great reunions with your loved ones!! KMW

That is so sweet – might take you up on that M&A 😉
That traveling ribbon is the best
It is terribly sweet!
That’s quite the amazing bunch your have traveling this time.
It’s a large number and the cat contingent was much higher than normal. They were quite happy about the balance 😉
Wow! That’s a lot of passengers! We may be traveling by car from New York City to Atlanta in the next few months with a 16-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, and our six-year-old kitty, neither of whom are happy/easy campers. Any tips on what we should plan for, be aware of? xoxoM
Sorry to reply so late. We have done a post which gave some travel tips:

But here’s one from another site which should help you as it’s mainly about road trips:

We wish you well – please do let us know how it goes.
Thanks! We’re traveling around Christmas and will let you know how it goes! xoxoM
love the pups! soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute!!!!!!!!
They are delightful, if a handful at that age 😉
Lovely one and all. Jules and Jim are no doubt named after characters in a french film, oui? They are very cute together. I liked Pegie and Lola’s back side view ! I like seeing what they see.
Those are indeed the boys! It’s not a bad view out the back 😉
Wow – what a fantastic group you have for this trip!! They’re all so precious and adorable and we hope you have a fabulous journey!!
It was a great bunch – heavier on cats this time which pleased the cats no end 🙂
You have a cute overload here today. How can you not want to spend every second cuddling someone?
We do indeed have cute overload! When there are this many animals, there’s always another that demands attention 😉
What a crew! We hope they joined forces for a fun voyage 🙂
It was a fun voyage for all.
I love the perspective from a dog’s eye view of Lola and Pegie. I’d want to make sure the High-Five didn’t include any claws. (grin) –Curt
It is a great view they had. Moon was trawling for attention and her high-five would catch you while passing 😉
Great photos of the pets. Liked seeing how the grapes are brought in for wine making. And the local buildings with the people standing around chatting.
It’s still quite a low-tech activity in the cave cooperatives – lots of standing round waiting in line but great to see the process.
Great group and what a big travelling posse indeed ..safe travels guys and look forward to later posts Hugs Fozziemum xxx
It was a super big group but all good passengers.
Better than a school bus full of kids I am sure hehehe 🙂
Give us animals every time 😀
Oh I agree! smell better act better generally smarter and plus you can cuddle them without needing a police check done first hahaha 🙂
I adore reading all the stories of your passengers; very heartwarming
Thanks Dallas – there are some very heart warming stories out there.
And I’m delighted to say I find a lot of them on your blog – I usually save them all for Saturday mornings now and like to read them undisturbed with a cup of tea – woe betide anyone that interrupts
Sending Pawkisses to you and the crew 🙂 Have a safe trip 🙂
Thanks little Binkie!
My goodness, you do have a full load of delightful passengers. Btw, I’m with Birra—don’t like loud noises either.
The more the merrier! Yes, loud noises are unnecessary.
What an adorable set of passengers!
They are rather wonderful!
Lots of passengers, but very adorable too. 🙂 I hope the trip goes safe!
Thanks Dianda – it was a busy trip but went very well.
Dolly’s ribbon is so cute!
She does travel in style!
I love that shot of the French bulldogs
The dogs’ eye view – and our butt view 😉
What beyoooooootiful passengers and I do hope they ended up in homes of animal love.
They were a gorgeous bunch and the animal lovers made sure their pets came with them.
Its good to know you’re helping all these kitties! Thank you!
