Labradoodles Cedric and Chester touched down at Calais airport in order to cross to the UK via a Defra-approved route. Their family’s plane lands at London City airport, but pets can’t enter the UK via that airport.

This is the third year in a row that Animalcouriers have driven them the last leg of their journey home.

We had planned to cross using Eurotunnel, but arrived to find major delays on that route. Knowing that the family would want to be reunited with their lovely dogs as soon as possible, we drove round to P&O and managed to get on a ferry, arriving at 8.30pm only to find the M20 was closed… We were finally on our way by 9.30pm!
