Yesterday evening we stopped off at the Hotel Villa Giarona in Pontenure. We were a little concerned that the car park was close to the road, as safe parking is obviously one of our top priorities with pets on board. We explained to the staff who immediately told us we could go “on the green in the back.” So we did.
I bet they got a shock when you turned up with all those animals..LOL It looks a wonderful place 🙂 xx00xx
Mollie and Alfie
Yes, our arrival at hotels does tend to get the staff out to see what’s going on 😉
Lakme looks like she’s pondering another break out again in that last shot.
Doesn’t she just! She has so much energy – we wonder whether getting her a hamster wheel might slow her down 😉
I wouldn’t mind taking any bit she has to spare. 🙂
If only we could bottle it!
I said many times that she has so much energy that I feel that the apartment cannot contain her. And now I know: it couldn’t. She always boldly and unhesitatingly ran out the front door whenever I opened it, but she also escaped out the window, as Maria recounted. And now, I learn that no cage can hold her, either. 🙂
Thank goodness the apartment held Lakme long enough for us to collect her. We’re keeping a jolly good eye on her now 😉
Excellent! She’s such a nice cat, and it sounds like the home she is going to will be perfect for her. Lots of room to expend that energy! Judy is right, a small apartment in Athens just couldn’t contain all that energetic enthusiasm.
I wish I could work for you!
Wouldn’t it be fun! I’d steer clear of the Turkey trips though.
Yes!
Wow what a stunning place. “No Brandy you are not staying there” LOL 🙂 x
Oh, spoil sport!
Everybody looks quite happy – hotel staff, couriers AND animals! Nice when the hotel makes things as nice as possible for travelers of ALL kinds!
Pam
It really lifts the spirits when hotels are this welcoming to us and our passengers. We all get a great rest and are raring to go the next morning.
The girls (Lakme and Maja) look wonderful. Thank you.
Two great travelling companions.
My thanks as well, you truly are a great bunch of people.
England here you come.
Jasper time for the bedhead look! You’re totally working it anyway. Haha 😀
Yes – he does it without the gunk!
How wonderful to meet so many nice people who share your love for animals, heartwarming
We are a curiosity wherever we go but in the nicest way – everyone comes to say hi to the animals.
They like the green in the back :o)
They sure do 😉
Love your choice of hotel
It’s a hard life 😉
It looks absolutely stunning there and all the animals certainly look happy, except, of course, for the one being murdered (sorry, medicated)
We did rather enjoy our stay. Kiki’s used to being murdered on a daily basis so even she didn’t mind it too much.
What a beautiful hotel…How nice they were to provide you with the private parking and a great dog run area
Yes, they were incredibly kind. Some are not so and we move on…
How are you doing? Are you on track be back in the uk for tomorrow? So excited to see Reo!
Lakme isn’t rolling, she’s testing the strength of the bars!
Thanks for pointing that out Zena – the strength of her personality is almost enough to break out on its own 😉
Love the green for the passengers!! Love the passengers most!! 🙂
It was such a pleasure for them all to wonder that space.
I liked Jasper’s bad hair day. Reminds me of myself when I travel. 🙂 –Curt
You’re right, we all have those bad hair days on the road but luckily photos don’t make it to the blog 😉
The hotel looks pretty!
Oh, it was very much to everyone’s taste!
