We were not in the slightest bit surprised that the boat promised by the port director for 9.00am yesterday to return us to North Cyprus didn’t materialise!
Courier J spent part of the day in the port building next to the van recharging all our electronic gadgets, watching a DVD to pass the time. Courier M sat with the dogs and read.
The rest of our time was spent walking and feeding the dogs and keeping the van spick and span — it’s a full-time home to all nine of us at the moment!
So sorry you are having all these problems, you don’t deserve it! I think it is just as well you have no cats on board especially like Suki, I am certain you remember her last year! She loves our new home and has settled down very well but still quite chatty of course. Angela. Isle of Wight
Hi Angela – how could we ever forget Suki?! You’re right – a few cat passengers with Suki’s attitude and we’d be in trouble 😀 Great to hear she’s settled so well and keeps up the conversation. Thanks for your kind words. Here’s hoping…
We hope you get your proper transport today – even though all of you have made the best of a bad situation, no doubt EVERYONE would like to be HOME SWEET HOME!
Pam and Sam
Hi Pam and Sam – thank you so much for your kind words. We are waiting with baited breath for that ferry this evening and hope to be able to post better news soonest!
I hope you haven’t to spend another day at the harbor. Maybe the promised boat is a submarine too? I know this loos, they are sneaky – and a guarantor for a great mess :o)
Sadly we have 🙁 The promised boat was a mirage and a figment of some imagination to boot!
Poor Courier M..Hope he smells a bit better now.. BOL xx00xx
Mollie and Alfie
Courier J is VERY pleased to say that he does indeed 😀
Love the 5 star bathroom facilities!
Nothing but the best for Animalcouriers 😀
Hi Guys,
Any news on the ferry back tonight yet?

Hi Jayne – plans are hopefully coming together…
We feel so bad for all of you. Nothing worse than government paperwork issues and non-issues! So very sorry. Hope you get mobile again today.
Perhaps they’ll get fed up with us and the bad publicity… !
You must be tired of looking at that view. Hope the better news arrives as expected. The dogs look like…just have to have patience and enjoy it all.
If it had to happen it most certainly is a shame we’re stuck with this vista! Shame about the food options too 😉
What a nightmare! But the doggies look like they are all doing OK. everything crossed that you get on the ferry tonight and at least get the doggies back to their owners for a while before new plans can be made….
Thank you so much Emma – we are hopeful that it will come to pass.
No fun, no fun at all! I’m sure all the families waiting for these dogs are happy that they have professionals taking care of this nightmare for them.
Not really what we had in mind as fun. However, the dogs have been such good company and their owners so supportive, it has cheered us up enormously 😉
I think this sort of thing is any traveler’s worst nightmare. Hope it clears up soonest.
Thanks Gunta – as you know from following us since god was a pup, we don’t give up easily 😉 Here’s to dealing with a jolly and co-operative Government vet tomorrow…
Sending good thoughts that he/she gets up on the right side of the bed tomorrow morning. 😀
That sums it up so well 😀
Thinking of you all and the bureaucracy you have to surmount!
We will have to get that sign for the van – Keep Calm and Carry On
What an adventure. You’re really tough couriers. I doubt I’d want to take a shower in that “bathroom”.
Things have to be bad to even consider it!
Hope you are finally moving??
Oh yes, but sadly in the wrong direction 😉
Well on the positive at least your moving!!
Is is most definitely positive!
