We’ll be collecting Archie in May when we visit Greece. His owner Terri says she was desperate, as they were due to travel back to the UK, and she hadn’t found a way to get Archie back too.

Archie is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Staffies are very sensitive dogs who can react very strongly to travelling by air, so Terri was keen to find a way of getting him home by road, which is how he’ll travel with Animalcouriers.

Terri says that Archie adopted her when she lived in England before. His then owner couldn’t keep him and rehomed him elsewhere, but Archie kept running away. It didn’t take long for Terri to fall for his good nature and compassion, and so he moved in with her family. He was spoilt rotten by everyone, even the village policeman, who would regularly bring him back from his romps at the local farm. And when Terri moved to Greece, Archie went too.

He’ll be celebrating his 10th birthday just before we collect him, so there will be a bit of a party before he moves to Hereford. Once back in the UK, he’ll have woods to play in and birds to chase — and of course, his favourite armchair to curl up in at the end of the day.
