A tailored trip for Buttons

A tailored trip for Buttons

Tabby cat Buttons will be 20 on his next birthday. He’s an Orkney lad who moved to Paris earlier this year with his owner Lisa. But he quickly told Lisa that he wasn’t really a city cat and would rather go back to Orkney.

Animalcouriers have organised a special trip just for Buttons. As soon as his pet passport became live, courier S dashed over to Paris to collect him. Buttons was clearly anxious to be off. “Come on, we don’t want to be be late! We can cross the Channel at midnight, can’t we?” he implored, as he gathered up all his luggage. “Hurry up, we can just make that last train if we get a move on,” he added. And then they were off.

Courier S tells us that Buttons is really enjoying his trip. He sits up, looking out of the window as the journey continues (doubtless not quickly enough for him!), dreaming of familiar fields, the wind, the sea and bracing cool weather.

“Food isn’t bad either,” he comments, as he tucks into his meals. Full English for breakfast, biscuits for lunch, and meat with two veg for supper. Yum!

There’s a reception committee on Orkney waiting to welcome him home. Because the weather is turning chilly up there, Animalcouriers has included a special heat pad in his travel accommodation to keep Buttons toasty warm.

The only worry now is, will the ferry from Aberdeen to Kirkwall be departing tonight as planned, given that gale force winds have been forecast? We’re pretty sure that nothing will stop determined Buttons reaching Kirkwall this evening!

Are we nearly there yet?
