With couriers M and M2 continuing towards the UK with their passengers, it's time for an update on courier J. If you've been following our blog, you'll know she's in hospital in Spain, recovering from a burst appendix. She tells us: "Today has been a very exciting day. Cats Lua and Blaze, and dog Tuxa, have been with us since Portugal, so they're old hands at this travelling lark now. Tuxa is a lovely girl — very gentle and a joy to walk. Lua and Blaze have made themselves completely at home in their cage, and are always keen to see what's going on around them.
Min, Jake and Elwood used to live on a finca (farmhouse) in Spain. They're now moving with their family to their new home in Petersfield in Hampshire. Unlike Min, Jake and Elwood are rather shy about coming forward. Maybe we should get them a hat and some sunglasses?
Bartolo the cat is travelling with Animalcouriers from Madrid in Spain to Saffron Walden in the UK. He has diabetes, so needs an insulin injection every 12 hours. He seems to live for mealtimes: as soon as we appear with a dish of food he starts purring and meowing and tromping around in his cage. We show him the syringe, let him have a sniff, then put his food down for him. As soon as he starts eating, we give him the injection — he doesn't make the slightest fuss, just continues eating totally unfazed. [...]
