On Monday we collected two Labradoodle pups, Arko and Hugo, from Lisa the breeder in South Wales, and on Tuesday they were flown to their new owner, Marianne, in Oslo, Norway. Jack was very well behaved and took his parasite treatment like a stalwart. His sister Gizzy, the cat, was a different story... Gentle soothing words could not persuade her that she liked having her flea and worming treatment. It took gentle handling, stout gloves, and a very firm hold!
Bacon is a bright-eyed, beautifully marked cat who is travelling from the Algarve back to his family in the UK. We were warned he could be quite vocal, and he certainly started off by complaining about my driving skills. Once I'd explained I was not responsible for the potholes in Portuguese roads or the ridiculous speed humps in Spain, he settled down, and now appears to be a perfectly peaceful pussycat.
A gathering of storks near Zahara in Spain, possibly as many as 1000 birds, gathering to migrate to Africa maybe? Watch out for a baby boom!
