Animalcouriers biggest van is making the trip north from Portugal and Spain through France. On board we have a mix of lovely cats and dogs who will all soon be reunited with their owners.

Nefer the cat has been staying in France with a kind friend of his owners, waiting for the new pet passport rules to come into effect. Now he’s off home to join his family.

Minx’s owner Petra had to return to England a while ago, so Minx has been staying at Amberlodge kennels in Spain. Petra is really excited about being reunited with Minx, who really is a little minx!

Lovely Ellie is a rescue dog, who was rehomed by Amberlodge kennels. Her owners had to return to the UK ahead of her, and she’ll spend a short time homeboarding with Animalcouriers before rejoining her family.

Blade has also been staying at Amberlodge, and will soon be reunited with his owners who’ve already returned to the UK. He’s a Podenco, a type of Spanish hunting dog that’s often mistreated. They’re often seen running in packs in Spain as they get dumped when the hunters no longer want them.

Shih Tzu Scooby was also collected from Amberlodge, where he’s been waiting to rejoin his owner in the UK. Laurence at the kennels says he’s a lovely dog.

Yorkie Max is another dog who’s been waiting in Spain for the pet passport rules to change. He’s a lovely little chap who’s keeping couriers M2 and R very amused.

Kiara has also been waiting for the new pet passport rules to come into force. Her owner Claudia is very excited about getting her home.

Lila and Sam are the last two of Sarah Jane’s 15 dogs to leave Spain and rejoin her in the UK. When Sarah and Jane and her partner lived in Spain, they kept taking in stray and unwanted dogs they found near their home. When they left for the UK, they put all the dogs in kennels in Jalon, and Animalcouriers has been bringing them back to the UK in a series of small groups.

Persian kittens Mona Lisa and Tom Foolery, originally from Orange, are on their way to live with their new owner Heather.
