Animalcouriers recently transported this handsome German Shepherd Necki from Northern Germany back to his owner Lynn in the Harwich area of England.

Necki was in Germany participating in Schutzhund, a dog sport that tests whether German Shepherds (and some other dog breeds) exhibit the traits that make them suitable for police-type work.

It’s a demanding test for any dog and few are able to pass successfully. Necki is very highly rated — probably the best in the UK.

Linda sent us some extra photos of Necki doing Schutzhund.

Poppy, another German Shepherd who travelled with us a few days ago from Norfolk, is also in Germany for Schutzhund training.
