Hello Aunty Mary, Uncle Olof and Godmother Julia

Well – I have just returned home after my holidays. We have been to Kielder Water in Northumbria – border territory. All I can say is – I AM ABSOLUTELY EXHAUSTED!!!

These people are completely mad, and as for those collies – barking mad!!

Well, us Mediterranean types consider a busy day to be a small spot of squirrel chasing, a quick bit of verbal abuse to the Magpies and then a very long siesta on a comfortable bed in a sunny garden. These mad English types like to walk and walk for hours on end, drink endless cups of tea and eat sandwiches in the middle of nowhere, then yomp for hours again.
Of course those loopy collies never stopped for a moment especially my little sister Amber – bonkers dog, never stops, did at least 5 times as much as the rest of us.

I got back to the B&B and crashed out in my bed – totally knackered by all the walking and cavorting around in the beautiful countryside. Then my Mum wakes us all up at some ridiculously early hour of the morning to take us dogs down stairs for a wee – the last two mornings I have just stared at her as if she had lost her mind and had to be encouraged out of my bed to go outside.

I am not letting on at the moment but I had such a great time, I am still busy playing the role of exhausted rescue hound – gets loads of sympathy and cuddles from my Mum – snigger!!

I am very pleased to be home though and have patrolled all my territory in the back garden several times already – as all is well  I’m off for a snooze in the sunshine.
