Bartolo the cat is travelling with Animalcouriers from Madrid in Spain to Saffron Walden in the UK.
He has diabetes, so needs an insulin injection every 12 hours. He seems to live for mealtimes: as soon as we appear with a dish of food he starts purring and meowing and tromping around in his cage.
We show him the syringe, let him have a sniff, then put his food down for him. As soon as he starts eating, we give him the injection — he doesn’t make the slightest fuss, just continues eating totally unfazed.
