Togo is the lucky rescue dog who was brought to Scotland from Morocco by Jo and Peter back in July last year.

Jo and Peter went though frightful agonies trying to get him out of Morocco with several false starts. In the end they got in touch with Animalcouriers and we arranged for him to fly from Marrakech via Casablanca, Frankfurt and London to Glasgow.

He then had to spend six months in quarantine at the SSPCA kennels in Milton, Dunbartonshire, where he quickly became everyone’s favourite dog. Jo and Peter made the 130-mile round trip from their home in Edinburgh each week to see him.

On 14 January Jo and Peter could at last take Togo home to settle in and get to know Candy, their Jack Russell.

Peter says: “He’s a very laid-back, easy-going boy and has settled in really well so far. We look forward to many happy years shared with Togo! Thanks again for your help in getting him here safely.”
