Flee, the lovesick dog

Flee, the lovesick dog

You may recall Flee, a dog Animalcouriers transported to Spain to sit out his pet passport qualification period in the tranquil setting of Cartama Kennels near Malaga.

He has not let the grass grow under his paws and has fallen in love through a chain link fence with a girl called Salma. Salma is a very pretty young lady who we will be taking home to England in September when her pet passport is ready. To fan the flames of love to a roaring passion, Salma has contrived to come into season. To give the little girl some peace and, to calm Flee’s ardour, Salma has been moved to the other side of the property. Poor Flee is bereft! Has lost his appetite and mopes pitifully.

Making things worse, kennel owner Mary visits Salma before visiting lovesick Flee — the scent of Salma drives him wild and he turns his amorous attentions to Mary! She has outfoxed him and retained her honour by wearing overalls whenever she is with Salma before dealing with our Romeo.

Let’s hope that nature will soon take its course so that Salma can return to her place at Flee’s side. Well done Mary for coping with young love.
