Animalcouriers provides comprehensive, professional pet shipping and animal transport services covering the UK, mainland Europe, and the rest of the world. With our domestic and overseas pet transportation service, we help a wide range of animal owners — including pet owners moving house or emigrating, smallholders, commercial breeders and enthusiasts — to move their domestic pets, livestock and other animals, safely and reliably.

authorised transporters |
Animalcouriers is a Government-authorised animal transporter with a UK State Veterinary Service Type 2 Authorisation — an internationally recognised authorisation that covers livestock as well as domestic pets.
This means we are authorised to transport animals within the UK and throughout the European Union and the rest of Europe, over both short and long distances.
In addition, individual animal couriers within the team hold personal Certificates of Competence for transporting livestock (goats, sheep, pigs and poultry).

Animalcouriers has many years of practical experience of transporting animals. We are used to handling dogs, cats, birds (including birds of prey), livestock, reptiles, exotic species and more — and to dealing with the related regulations and paperwork. Members of the Animalcouriers team have spent many years working for the RSPCA, an animal charity whose work is known throughout the world.

We can arrange transport by road or air, depending on distance and your preference.
Where feasible, we recommend transport by road — it's better for the animals' welfare and is often better value for you. See our proposed timetable of scheduled road trips.
- Our customised vehicles are DEFRA authorised and regularly inspected.
- Our team members have Certificates of Competence to DEFRA standards for handling and managing animals.
For animals travelling by air, we can arrange animal airfreight, provide courier-accompanied travel and organise private charter flights. We are members of the Independent Pet and Animal Transportation Association (IPATA), an internationally recognised organisation of professional pet shippers. pricing policy and payment methods |
You can pay by credit card, debit card or bank transfer by calling our office line on +44 (0)1483 200123. We charge a small handling fee for credit card payments. We accept cheques up to 14 days before the date of travel, sent by post to our registered office address. Cash can be accepted at point of collection only by prior arrangement — call our office line for a reference number. We never ask you to pay by money order (such as Western Union or MoneyGram).
